We are excited to announce that Tom Clinton, co-founder of SiTE:LAB, has accepted a new role as the Executive Director. Clinton brings multiple strengths from past roles into his leadership of local community media.

Since its inception in 1982, the Grand Rapids Community Media Center (CMC) has been committed to expanding its free speech mission of "Building community through media," by taking the next step, GrandNET, an easily accessible, broadly available free speech platform.  It will provide an interchange of both live and archived free speech programming for all public access centers via the Internet.  To view the entire proposal and give us your support...

Your votes can help sustain your community media services

Someone nominated CMC as a worthy and deserving nonprofit organization for the Chase Bank Community GIving program. We are truly  honored! That designation alone means we will receive $1000 from Chase Bank. Now we are included in the public voting phase, where based on votes, Chase will award a total of $5 million dollars to be split among the top vote getting organizations. Grants will range from $10k to $250,000.
