At the annual membership meeting on August 15th Byron Strickland was named GRTV's voluteer of the year. This was Byron's second time winning, he and Charles Bennet shared the honor last year. All of us at GRTV want to thank Byron for all his hard work and dedication. Volunteers are the core of a public access tv station and we couldn't do it without them.
CMC creates new website for feminist bioethicists

The CMC's IT department has finished work on the new website for the International Network on Feminist Approaches to Bioethics (FAB). FAB exists to "engage with issues in health care and the biosciences from feminist viewpoints." Check it out at fabnet.org.

CMC deploys a new server for Women's Resource Center

The CMC recently worked with the Women's Resource Center to deploy a new server running Windows 2003 Small Business Server. This new server will provide file & printer sharing, data redundancy, daily backups and an integrated e-mail solution for their 22 workstations.

CMC deploys a new server for GROW

The CMC recently worked with Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women (GROW) to deploy a new server running Windows 2003 Small Business Server. GROW's existing server was over 5 years old, running Windows NT 4.0 Server and was dangerously low on disk space. This much needed upgrade gives them alot more disk space including redundant hard drives, an integrated e-mail solution and the ability for staff to easily share their contacts and calendars with each other.
