Meet WYCE's New Station Manager: AJ Paschka!

The Grand Rapids Community Media Center is pleased to announce that AJ Paschka has accepted a position as the new station manager for community radio station WYCE.  Paschka currently works as the Exhibitions Curator at the UICA, and will be moving to his new position in October. 

A 2001 graduate of Kendall College of Art and Design, Paschka has also worked as Manager of Digital Media for the Grand Rapids Art Museum and as a freelance web designer.  His responsibilities at UICA and the GRAM have included event production and booking,...

I am happy and sad to tell you that my tenure as station manager at WYCE is coming to an end.

I am happy because we have accomplished some pretty remarkable things in the eight years I’ve been in this position. When I started, we were an underpowered 7,000-watt station that barely reached the edges of Kent County. I was welcomed into a situation with a lot of duct-taped-together equipment, a less-than-rosy financial situation, and an unclear plan for what lay ahead.
