Welcome to the CMC

This year's annual meeting of members will take place on Monday, April 19th at 6:00pm in the GRTV studio. It is at this gathering that Board candidates are formally nominated and introduced to CMC members. It's a nice opportunity to meet other CMC members and hear about what's happening with the organization.

We went out and filmed Grand Rapidians at the Calder Plaza Google for Grand Rapids flash mob event and found out what Grand Rapids means to them.

Show your listener power! During this week, we are raising funds and raising the power of WYCE.

In January we installed a new 10,000-watt transmitter. We'd love to install our new broadcast antenna and complete this signal-expansion project, but we need your help. In addition to raising about $60,000 in operational funds, we need our listener-sponsor community to dig deep and help us bring in an additional $15,000 in one-time operational funds -- the dollars necessary to make this important increase in the WYCE listening area.

Grand Valley State University LGBT Resource Center is excited to announce a new, monthly film series, titled “Queeries” at Wealthy Theatre.  The series premieres Friday (March 19) with “Hedwig & The Angry Inch”.

Friday's premiere event will include:

• Informational tables featuring local NPOs
