Aldo “Big Al” Diotalevi has been producing the show Aldo “Big Al” Sings on GRTV for 10 years. He fondly remembers his first visit to GRTV and meeting Dirk Koning who made him instantly feel “at home”. Aldo first learned about the potential of GRTV and public access television through a friend.
Spotlight: MoLLIE
Mobile Media Lab for Information Education (MoLLIE) brings laptops with video editing software, digital video cameras, and talented teachers into K-12 classrooms to help kids work in small teams to create short videos that demonstration their learning in the curriculum subject.

Over the past few months, local volunteers and CMC staff have been working on the new Grand Rapids citizen journalism project The Rapidian. Set to go live on September 15th, The Rapidian will be a new local news and information source powered by you. The intention is to empower local residents to not only consume news and information, but to be the reporters as well. CMC will help with training and support so you can use video, audio, photos and text to report of the issues and stories from your community.
