Dashan Calvert

Is there a typical profile of a GRTV producer? Certainly not. But Dashawn Calvert's work does tell us a lot about one particular producer and the kind of effort it takes to put a series program on GRTV for months on end.

Client Feedback

Girl Scout Troop 3325 would like to thank you for allowing us to film our cookie sale PSA at GRTV. The girls thought it was one of the best things we've done all year. Thank you for your flexibility in allowing the girls to develop their own script - and then for making it work. The staff at GRTV was helpful, professional, and great to work with. We really appreciate this opportunity.

Jenny Sias, Troop Leader, Girl Scout Troop 3325

Welcome to the CMC

For over 25 years the Community Media Center has acquired and maintained technology tools, media services and community venues to benefit the Grand Rapids community. Explore this site to discover how CMC's television, radio, IT, education and live theatre resources are here to help you.

No doubt it's easier to look good when you've got that much talent onstage... "Potato moon" is amazing.

Big thanks to Ted for getting the lights and mics setup on Wednesday.  Also, thanks to Jeff for the setup help, Brooke for running Tech Booth and switching video, Colleen for her amazing touch on lighting, Tom and Francesca for managing front of...

The Phantom of the Fox: Joe Patten

This is an ongoing series of updates from Atlanta, where Wealthy Theatre Director Erin Wilson is attending the League of Historic American Theatre (LHAT) annual conference on behalf of Wealthy Theatre and CMC.  Pictured to the right is Erin with Joe Patten, Fox Theatre Technical Director from 1974-2006.

This year's LHAT conference is being conducted at a hotel across the street from Atlanta's Fox Theatr ("The Fabulous Fox") which is one of the most storied historic theatres in North America.  Its interior has a starry blue ceiling with...
