The Wiz: A Tribute To Michael Jackson

Community Media Center is proud to partner with several local organizations and businesses, to help bring Grand Rapids two days of tribute to the late Michael Jackson.

WEALTHY THEATRE, WEDNESDAY, JULY 8
A very special Meanwhile Movie at Wealthy Theatre, "The Wiz," will take place on Wednesday, July 8, at Wealthy Theatre. The movie (8pm) will be preceded by a brief rendition of "Billie Jean" by renown local MJ tribute performer Glenn Ellis. A DJ will spin classic tracks with video clips on the big screen, and we'll have time for impromptu audience memorial rememberances on an open mic. Presented in part by Pure Harmony Entertainment and Grand Rapids Hip Hop Coalition.

ROSA PARKS CIRCLE, TUESDAY, JULY 7
CMC is helping to promote a GR Hip-Hop Coalition (GRHHC) memorial event at Rosa Parks Circle, on Tuesday - capped with a crowd-wide version of the Thriller dance. Details and times are TBA and we'll update as information becomes available, or visit http://grandrapidshiphop.ning.com/
