Client web server moving to colocation facility on September 19th
On Friday, September 19th 2008 at 4pm, we will be moving the server that hosts all of our client websites to a colocation facility here in Grand Rapids. This move will allow us to provide increased bandwidth and redundancy for all of our clients websites. Please be aware that there will be some downtime while the server is being physically moved to the colocation facility and while the DNS changes propagate throughout the Internet.
Because of this move, the IP address of that server will be changing. For our clients that have us manage their DNS, you will not have to make any changes as we will handle all of that for you. For clients that manage their own DNS and host their website with us, you will need to change the IP address that your website points to on September 19th. We will be sending out direct emails to the clients that will need to make these DNS changes.

Rate changes for IT support effective September 1st
In order for the Community Media Center to keep providing the same level of IT support that we have for the past decade, we will be making some changes to our IT support structure. The hourly rate for IT consulting, maintenance and support will increase from $55/hour to $64/hour. Also, our emergency rate with a 4 hour response time during business hours will increase from $75/hour to $84/hour and our emergency rate outside of normal business hours of 10am - 6pm Monday thru Friday will increase from $95/hour to $104/hour.
The new IT support rates will go into effect on September 1st 2008. These new rates still remain very competitive and continue to provide a low-cost IT support solution for non-profit organizations in West Michigan. If you have any questions, please feel free to let us know.
Recreational Debut
The CMC IT team is proud to announce the launch of RecDebut.com, the homepage for Recreational Debut, a non-profit recruiting service that helps student athletes obtain exposure that leads to an athletic scholarship. Make sure that you check out the custom video system which links up with youTube to seemslessly display videos accross both sites, and the PayPal integration which allows site users who purchase the program to instantly download their product.
