Training

The Community Media Center offers customized solutions that meet your staff computer training needs. These training sessions are generally offered in 3-4 hour training blocks. This 3-4 hour time frame maximizes the ability of most adult computer learners to absorb information.

Trainings can be done in our computer lab at the Community Media Center or on-site at your offices, and can be customized to use your own work products during the class rather than generic exercises that have no specific meaning for the attendee.

Here are some examples of what we can teach you or your staff:

• Working with folders, and storing and finding data on a network
• Introductory classes showing the capabilities of each Microsoft Office program
• Task-specific classes like using Mail Merge or Tables in Word; or using Functions and Charts in Excel
• Working with graphics in Word or Publisher
