About Local Resonance
Local Resonance is a one-hour, weekly radio program that explores and communicates all facets of the musical environment of the Greater Grand Rapids area via WYCE 88.1 FM. By regularly providing local music created in West Michigan, live performances and interviews from local artists and bands, on-air announcements of local musical events, and other interesting features about the local music scene, WYCE, in harmony with the Grand Rapids Community Media Center, connects individuals of different cultures, backgrounds, and musical interests by informing, sharing, and exchanging diverse musical experiences.
Local Resonance is a self-sustaining radio program that is held together by a collection of many volunteers and individuals sharing a common goal: Telling the stories of the people in our community through the music in their lives.

The content of each week’s show is unique, but is always created from our 'menu of modules', or mini-segments. Musicians from the Grand Rapids area, volunteers, or just individuals from the community can create the majority of the modules selected for airtime. The most interesting and creative modules are chosen for airtime. If you, or someone you know would like to contribute to the show, check out the Get Involved section!
