Fiona Apple

Fiona Apple met international acclaim for her 1996 debut album, Tidal, which was a commercial success. At the age of nineteen she received a Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for the single “Criminal” from that album in 1998. Other singles include “Shadowboxer,” “Sleep to Dream” and “Never is a Promise.”

Tidal sold 2.7 million copies and the song reached the Top Forty U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Apple will perform at SXSW and tour nationally. Her latest album, The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do is due out Summer 2012.
